Speak with Belia Thundergranite in Ironforge.

Assignment:
Thoranx, ya now have the power to tame a pet, but you must also gain the skills ta train it.

Travel to Ironforge and find the Hall of Arms. There you must speak to one of our most revered animal trainers, Belia Thundergranite. She'll give ya the power to train your new pet, so get goin', lad!

Belia is a friendly sort; you should have no problems gaining her approval. Good luck, Thoranx.

Belia Thundergranite: A new recruit, eh? You're on your way to becoming a great hunter, I see.

Yes, I can bestow you with the skills you need to train and guide your pet. Not only will you be able to teach your pet new abilities, you will now be able to feed your pet, as well as revive it, should it fall in battle.

Remember that the key to getting the most from your new pet is to respect it and treat it well. In turn, your pet will be your most loyal friend.

xejkia: I traveled to Kalimdor to quest with a freind as a level 9 dwarf hunter, do i have to go back to iron forge to be able to get a pet?
xejkia: I am aware (now) of where to go in IronForge, but i am hoping that i can do it at the NE city instead if possible. Does anyone know if i can or not?
Vorard: Depending on race your quest to get a first pet as a hunter will originate in your starter city.
debuke: i got my taming the best spell at 10. i can now tame beasts, but i didn't get any quest to revive or feed.

how/when do i get these abilities?
Cob: Go to ironforge and talk to the hunter trainer there.. there's a last step to the quest.

janiteus: What do i need to have to get that pet ability? i can't talk to that women in ironforge :(
I haven't done any quests but im at level 17.
janiteus: But im night elves hunter, can I gat a pet at all? :(
