Quest Level: 58 Category: Blasted Lands Other NPCs: Kirith the Damned Spirit of Kirith Prior Step: Heroes of Old Next Step: The Cover of Darkness		Quest Objectives: Find out what became of Lieutenant Kirith. Assignment: As one chapter of your adventure closes, another one begins, Papawiegs. One of my men is still unaccounted for, lost somewhere in the Blasted Lands. I am talking about Lieutenant Kirith, of course. As I had mentioned earlier, we were both imprisoned and tortured by Allistarj, but poor Kirith, his strength of will faltered. I could hear the experiments from my cage; the tortured screams rang through the halls of the cave. That was the last I saw or heard of Kirith. Progress: Spirit of Kirith: I'm great at what I do, don't get me wrong, but this is ridiculous! What am I supposed to do, build sand castles? Completion: Spirit of Kirith: Greetings, warrior. I am Orm, and Thun'grim tells me you wish a helm made?

You will also need to return the Ward of the Defiler so that the Fallen Hero can destroy it, preventing it from ever falling into the wrong hands.	(Elite)

Kogan:	What happens after you free him? Does the quest end or is there more? What is the reward? I've been holding onto this one for a while now and want to know if it's worth it.
Pippen:	This is a very long quest. After you kill him, you then go to Az and talk to a demon hunter. You have 3 more quests, one of which is an elite, then you get your demonhunter weapon. At this point you go back and talk to the orc spirit who gave you the quest. Thats as far as i've gotten. You get the demon sword, which is nearly as good as thrash blade (if you pick the sword) but the most important thing is the XP. This quest is HUGE on XP. I wouldnt abandon this one. Hope it helps.

Hope it helps.[/quote] Ah, Alliance doesn't start at the same point but we have the same quest. It is a lot of xp (although the detour to Azshara is time consuming) and I'm pretty much at the same point as Pippen. You start out killing in Blasted Lands (fairly easy although 2 of the 4 stops only have 1 spawn which you have to sit and wait for it to come back to finish the quest), then it sends you to Azshara for a number of different quests (talk to the demon hunter, talk to the giant, slay the hydra, talk to the giant, talk to the demon hunter, collect crystal giant droppings, talk to the demon hunter again), then to STV (strange pain in the butt stop as you literally go there only to talk to somebody, but he gives you the weapon) then back to Blasted Lands to get the final quest piece which is to slay the 3 main demons there. That's why you have this new sweet demon slaying weapon, but at that point you need a group to finish up. The demons are level 60 elites, but my experience has been that so few people actually get to this point in the quest that it's hard to get a group together to knock the last part out.
Kogan:	Yeah it's been tough finding someone to help me kill him. I may bother my guildies nonstop tonight to help me kill this big monster so I can continue on. This is mostly for reward though now as I'm already 60. Plus, I hate not completing things I've already put time into. Thanks

Thanks[/quote] Honestly, at level 60 I'd be surprised if you can't go in alone and solo Kirith. I solo'd him at 58 (was a close fight but not too bad and only downed 1 health potion). You can solo everything in this quest string except for the hydra in Azshara up until you get to the final stage of slaying the 3 demons. That hydra hits like a freaking truck though. It was me (58 rogue) and a 60 rogue and we just barely took it down before the 60 bought it.
Pippen:	Kirith isnt the one we're talking about. Its the 3 lvl 60+ demons you have to kill at the end of the quest that is the problem.
