Default Paladin Tanking

I'm very interested in what people think of there being more or less 3 different kinds of tanks since BC *warriors, druids and paladins.*
How many think that paladin tanking is a nice decision or is a viable thing?

Default Pally's

I have been in a few groups where pallys tank and it seems to work out fine... with that little AoE attack they have they seem to keep the aggro pretty well and they can heal themselves sometimes and have the aura's

I've gotten pretty much the same responses from people when I'm tanking on my Paladin. Seems like most of the problems for the community is mostly just the name paladin. I think once they get in there and see how it works out that the view changes to one thats like "well thats not too bad all "
I've lucked out having warriors in my guild that are totally supportive about it. But theres always going to be the few warriors and possibly druids as well that look at it and go "QFT and heal me."
IMO even if I didn't play a paladin, I'd still welcome 3 different choices. It allows warriors who were tied as tanks to get out there and dps. Resto druids can respec and dps. Holy paladins have an option of being a tank figure.
So imo it just opened up alot more options whenever someones looking for a group. You have more of a better chance of getting a tank.

Thumbs up Pally tanks... really?

When i made my pally, i looked at the ret spec, looking in awe at the amazing skills. Although ret pallys do dish out huge damage, i want to say, do not underestimate prot pallys. I respected my pally to prot for tanking. People are actually amazed at the stuff i tank. the armory hasent updated my account yet so i cannot link my armor and talents. But the thing with prot pally solo, they dont work 1v1. you need to get at least 5 on you. reason? Holy shield + blessing of sanctuary. great mana source, to keep you at full mana after consecrations. then seal of light + judgement of light (or wisdom) depending if you are low on mana. with this i find that i lvl much faster than my ret pally. You will get loved in instances a and you will get great xp from grinds. you stay at full hp and full mana all the time. So remember people, pally for tanks is the best!
