Higher lvl engineering!

I.m a lvl 29 warrior engineer, and reacehd 225 in engineering a few lvls ago but cant seem to find how to get higher, i've herad there is some quest you can do and you choose between gnomish and goblin engineering, but i cant find the quests, do you have to be a certain lvl to get em?

any help wud be apprecitaed :oops:

You also need to reach level 35 before you can get past 225 in any of the major tradeskills (not gather). I believe the Artisan trainer is in Gadgetzan though.

Alright I've made it to 155 engineering and I want to go the goblin route for all the wonderful explosives. How the hell do I get to Gadgetzan? I tried heading south through the Barrens, but the damn Tauren guards finished me in record time. I don't want to have to gather a group just to make it there. Anyone suggest an alternate and hopefully somewhat easier route? Thanks.

Since you can't ride yet, that's the only way...well, not only, but I doubt you want to try coming south from Darkshore, plus that's a lot longer haul.

Trek through Barrens south (stay to the left along the mountains) to Thousand Needles, trek south to Tanaris (Gadgetzan). If you can't get to the lift down into Thousand Needles (because of the guards), I'd suggest just jumping down. Once your dead at the bottom you can res and continue on.

Once you get to Gadgetzan there's a flight path and you can fly back and forth from Theramore.

I've only made it through the Barrens guards twice, both times a 60th lvl Paladin tanked the guards I just ran through before they respawned. If I die near the gates I just reappear as a ghost near the Satyr Village further back in Ashenvale, I tried sprinting thru and recovering my corpse further in, but the guards are spread out to far in and I just keep getting beat down.
Is there any way north from Dustwallow marsh? I can catch a boat (if they work on my server today, they've been up and down for a few days now) to Theramore and try north from there if that's faster? I just want to blow things up, is that really too much to ask? :D Thanks for the help,

Gadgetzan is south of Theramore. When you get off the boat at Theramore, head down the road. It goes west for a bit and then turns south. Take the second? fork to the right. If you look on the area map that will take you through the gap in the hills between Duskwallow and The Barrens. Then just head south and west until you hit the chasm that is Thousand Needles. There are two lifts down, but there are guards there...don't remember their level.

Like I said, if you can't get past the guards, jump down. You'll die, but at least you'll be past The Barrens. Just head south. You'll come to the Shimmering Flats in Thousand Needles. Head to the southwest wall and find the path up. When it crests the mountain you'll see Gadgetzan below you. Remember, Gadgetzan is a neutral town, so you might get killed by Horde, but if you're close enough, the guards will help you.

Nice, thanks a lot guys. I don't mind dying to get there except I'm just now realizing this is the only place to learn new goblin schematics too... Guess it'll be ok, the guards on the Barrens are all like ~lvl 35 according to this site. I'll probably just start doing laps in the Thousand Needles again until I get closer to 40. I'll can probably grind there to get my professions up to Artisan and sell enough to pay for the recipes and gear upgrades. Any good PvE grinding areas around?
