as a shaman, our main strength is in our dd's. Against casters i go in with the shock to interrupt their start off spell then go to work with melee and frost shock to slow their retreat, my question is what would be a must totem to set when going in a pvp battle

i agree Grounding Totem is a must...
Magma Totem is nice as well

No, our main strength is our versatility and ability to adapt to damn near any situation.
Otherwise, yeah the shocks are nice.

tip a friend gave me: keep earthshock 1 on your action bar, it lets you interrupt their spell casting for a mere 25 mana. using it has made a HUGE difference in PvP for me.

also, from the same line of thinking, a lvl 1 frostshock does the same amount of slowing the target as a lvl 4, and costs a hell of a lot less mana.

At the begin of a battle i start with my healing totem and then i use lightning bolt until they are close. Then i drop m fire nova totem and wait for the explode, after that i cast my fire totem for bolts of fire. If the enemy is hard i also cast my Earth totem for reduced damage. And if the enemy tries to run i cast Frost shock, A great combination.
It worked for me alot of times :D

Absofreakinglutely.
Hye Kazragore. you same one from dragonmaw?
Anyway is the grounding totem actually any use. I have used it in pve but it never seemed to work right. Is there something special that needs done with it like drop it and stand behind it. ?
I found magma totem is a brilliant way of screwing casters up. Every 2 seconds they suffer damage which sets their spell cast back or fails it.
Of course shocks.
But rememebr flame shock is also useful as its apllying damage even when they run about..
I find nova totem useless as it simply takes too long.

What do you do about a Rogue that goes invisible on you?
I'd like to see what everyone does against each class:
For instance... I drop the tremor totam for warlock fear spell. It pissed me off the first time I ran into that.
