So how do I kill you?

Title says it all... What tactics have worked against you shammys. I'm a Mage and Its 99.999% impossible for me to kill you unless your lower level than I am. This isnt a OMG WTFOVAPOWARD post just wondering the tactics that worked to bring you beasties down..

From what i heard shamans loose mana very quickly.


But their mana to DPS output is just amazing so cloth wearers have no hope ^^

Ya, I find that when I'm up against them all they do is throw a grounding totem down and I'm pretty much hosed. I'll throw a fireblast at the totem to get rid of it however it gets absorbed. Hurray for immune to AE spells.... meh. If i get close enough to the sham to use my instant spells on the run , i also get frostshocked/ earthshocked. they are the same range non modified with firethrowing.

So shammys have any mages been able to wtfselinedionpwn you?

If a shaman drops 4 totems, just move out of range. If he wants to go after you , he loses his totems' functions.

Grounding totems absorb spells every X seconds. So cast something small and instant on the shaman, it gets absorbed, then poly the shaman and kill the totems. The shaman pvp trinket can't break poly.

I'm not sure never get a chance to test this out but will wanding the grounding toem work? or will that be absorbed?

Probably be a good idea, at least then they couldnt heal / use shocks.. then your just down to their windfury proc's ouchy

You can't drain mana from them when they use earth shock on u!

well if you want to kill a shammie create a warlock shammie's up to 4 lvls above you are easy mages have problems with them becasue they have too little hp shammies do alot of dmg and you gotta use dots on them because instant dmg doesn't do enough

As far as i can say with my experience with both classes (have a lvl 60 shammie and lvl 60 wl) is that the longer the fight vs. a shammie lasts the better for the other class. And a wl is unbeatable when the fight lasts a bit longer.
