tame beast help

ok, this has been annoying me for quite some time so i need to get it sorted out. atm, i am a level 22 hunter. i bought tame beast from my trainer in darnassus (i think) a long time ago and i have never been able to tame a beast. it shows the beast i'm trying to tame with hearts around it whilst i'm 'channeling' but it never completes. am i doing anything wrong? is it a bug or is there more to do?

Your not moving around or getting healed/buffed while channeling are you?

Best way to tame a beast is to lay out a freezing trap, target and tame. If you can get it from max distance, you probably won't get touched before the trap exspires.

Also recommend you make sure you don't have AotC or AotM on as those can screw it up too. Hope you can get it straightened out as I don't know why I'd play a hunter if I lost my pets. Good luck,
